This is an ONLINE ONLY auction. Bidding in the room is not available. Please log on to www.the-saleroom.com on the sale day to participate.
Public viewing will take place on Wednesday, 10am–4pm.
Condition reports can be provided by photographs or videos of items. All requests for condition reports must be emailed to us no later than 3pm on the Wednesday prior to the auction. Viewing is advised for all potential bidders. By bidding, you are deemed to have viewed the items and satisfied yourself as to the condition and description of the lots available. All lots are sold entirely as seen and found.
Written commission bids may be left either by telephoning the office or by completing our online bid form on our website. Unfortunately, live telephone bids are not available for this auction.
Any issues with lots must be reported before the lot is removed from the saleroom.
Postage and packing is available on some items and is undertaken by MBE Colchester. Please contact us for advice and a quotation for packing and postage. Please note that we are unable to pack or post any weapons.
Buyer’s Premium: 15% + VAT.
Lots purchased online via the-saleroom.com or Horners.co.uk will attract an additional charge of 5% of the hammer price plus VAT.
Payment is due within two working days of the auction. For invoices under £500, payment will be taken automatically from the debit card registered with the-saleroom.com where available. Invoices over £500 must be settled by bank transfer. Alternatively, payment may be made on collection by debit card or cash.
Please ensure sufficient funds are available on your registered card. An administration fee will be charged if funds are unavailable. Immediate payment may be taken on the day of sale. Invoices will be emailed following the auction, with bank details attached where applicable.
By completing bidder registration via www.the-saleroom.com or www.horners.co.uk, and by providing debit card details, you:
(i) authorise Horners Auctioneers to charge the registered debit card, in part or in full, including all fees, for items successfully purchased; and
(ii) confirm that you are authorised to provide these debit card details and agree that Horners Auctioneers may ship goods to the registered cardholder name and address.
We do not accept payment over the telephone. We do not accept payment by cheque or credit card.
All items must be collected within two working days of the auction unless previously arranged with our office. Storage is not available. Horners Auctioneers cannot accept responsibility for security, loss, or damage to any lots not collected, and responsibility passes to the purchaser at the fall of the hammer.
Any lots not collected within five working days of the auction, and where no prior correspondence regarding collection has been received, will be deemed abandoned. Such lots may be resold or placed into limited storage, with charges applied.
OVERSEAS BUYERS: Payment by bank transfer only. We do not offer packing or postage services to overseas buyers. No credit terms are offered. Payment is required promptly following the auction.
We do not accept returns on German medals and militaria. These items are sold as seen and should only be purchased with full knowledge and acceptance of these terms.
All electrical goods are sold as seen, with no guarantee or warranty. This includes (but is not limited to) laptops, mobile phones, tablets, e-readers and household appliances. No guarantee of functionality or connectivity is given.
